Danemark 2012
Friday, January 20th
Today, it was Friday : we were 6 to lead our classmates : Maxime, Victor.D, Samuel, Florent, Matthieu.C and I (Nicolas).
We woke up in the morning and we went to school at 8:10 am. It was the last day of our exchange student holiday in Denmark, so it was kind of special. The weather was fantastic ! We finally saw the sun after 4 days. It was shining bright. We attended some classes with our correspondents. During the first hour we explained to them how to go to Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport by train to our school in Paris. And the second hour, we had the possibility to choose which class to attend: Physics, English or Geography. It was really fun, we saw how Danish students study. Comparing to Fenelon, we all realized that they didn’t study enough ! They use their laptops as notebooks during the class. They’re not as serious as Fenelon students: they laugh and talk a lot, they can go out of the class .. and they don’t have a lot of homework to do for the next day. We played a game on the computer that was very interesting.
Then we had to group all the students on the ground floor to take a very beautiful picture before leaving school, leaving our correspondents and leaving Denmark ! So we went outside to take this picture, the sun was bothering us and we laughed a lot because we couldn’t take a good picture so we stayed like 10 minutes to take many photos.
On our way to the airport we were walking, and everybody was following the good direction so we took the train.
After registering our baggage we had 50 minutes of free time to have lunch and to do whatever we wanted. {Well I (Nicolas) had lunch with 2 of my friends in Burger King. After lunch I just went to the toilet to wash my hands. When I went out I couldn’t see them : they probably thought that I’d left the restaurant. After exchanging money (to get Euros instead of Danish Kroner) I realized that I was late ! It was 3 pm and the final boarding was at 3:10. I rushed to the plane !! }. So we arrived in Paris at 5:30 pm.
What a wonderful holiday and enriching experience !

We left the Danish school this morning to go to Chriatiania, a famous alternative area in Copenhagen. After some trouble in the underground ( we got a little lost) we finally got there. A lady made us a presentation about Christiania and then, we were separated into two groups. We visited this area which has its own rules. We also met weird people. The houses were small and some didn’t have electricity nor water ! At the end of the visit, a strange angry man arrived and wanted to take Volga’s camera because he thought she’d taken some pictures of the drug sellers even if it was forbidden. So we were all a little scared by this man! It was very cold so
before lunch we went to a church.
In the train station to go to the longest shopping street in Europe : Stroget. An accident happened : someone dropped their mobile phone from 15 meters high! The afternoon was reserved to freetime and shopping to spend our last Kroner. After the cold temperatures of the morning there was the rain in the afternoon ! We had a lot of fun and we had a really good time for our last time in Copenhagen
We returned to the Danish school .

Wednesday, January 18th
Today, we went to Kongevejens Skole at 8.10 in the morning.A teacher named Cecilie (it´s best not to call her Mrs.) gave us a presentation about Denmark in general and the Danish way of life. She told us about the royal family, the geography, the laws, etc. An hour later she gave us an an hour break, during which the boys played football, and the girls played baby-foot or many things. Then we went back to class to be told about the Danish school system. It´s sooo different from France ! Then we had to to put ourselves into groups to prepare questions for a quizz about France the Danish students would have to answer in the evening. After that we had a free time to eat our lunches. Then we took the train to Valby, where we went ice skating. We waited half an hour to borrow the skates. For a lot of people, it was the first time, and many of us fell. We´ve had a good laugh, though. Then Mrs. Madelon showed her great kindness and offered each of us a hot chocolate. In the evening at school we answered a quizz about Denmark and we ate with our Danish penpals who had prepared all sorts of dishes. It was a very good way to get to know most of the Danish students. Then everybody got back home at about 9.30pm

DAY 3
We met at 8.10 a.m at school. As maybe
you know, we had to do little presentations which talked about
Denmark. But one team hadn’t had the time to show it when we were in France
so the team (Chloe, Lea and Volga) has presented it today. We found
an open classroom, we moved and then, the talk about the royal family
in Denmark started. For this, they used an interactive board and it was a little
funny.
Then we took the train to get to Louisiana Museum. We took a picture of all
the class on a statue of the museum, in the center. We were all
smiling because we were happy to be arriving at this famous place. We
separated into two groups: one which would have the visit first and
the other group which would have lunch and then have the visit and
workshop.
The first group visited the museum for two hours. There were two
temporary exhibitions: one about a Chinese artist, Ai Weiwei and the
second one about a German who takes photos which are modified on a computer. His
name is Koski. The pupils made a lot of drawings based on the art work they could see.
The second group visited the museum for an hour (they did two
drawings) the second hour they sculpted a little woman or man in the style of the
artist Giacometti.
When we were next to the sea, we saw a beautiful seascape and Sweden
in spite of the mist. In the garden, there were a lot of sculptures
that we took pictures of.
To return to school, we did not take the wrong way and train, and we
walked quickly but Florent and Victor D. were slow because they had to
carry the box in which there were all our hand-made sculptures.
It was a tiring day but wonderful because we could see a museum of
modern art where there were the sea and a beautiful garden with a lot
of sculptures.
The Cold Adventurers
Laura, Ophelie, Elodie, Eleonore, Annelise and Mahaut
DAY 2
First we met at school at 8:10 am; then, our group, the bad boys had to lead all the group to go to the railway station in Copenhagen: but we got lost! we asked people in English to find our way.
Then we found the bus to have a guided tour of the city, it was really hard to find the direction. we got lost twice in Copenhagen. In the bus we had a five-minute stop to see the Little Mermaid. We took a picture posing like her.
We had a break for lunch, which was very cool because we went to BURGERKING and some people ate out in the street. It was getting very cold if we stayed sitting for a long time so we had to move around to get warm!!
We then took the train to go to the Experimantarium and we tested different sorts of games and things like the labyrinth in the dark. That was very funny because the teachers came in the labyrinth too…
We took the train back to Sorgenfri, walked back to the school and finally to our pen friends´

Today was a day rich in emotions! After we met in the airport, we took the plane without any trouble. Some of us were a little bit scared but everything went well. We found our way without any problem. Some of us found their suitcases with some difficulties, but everybody and every suitcase were alright when we left the airport to take the train . We can´t wait to meet our penpals and we are looking forward to telling you what will happen next ! Have a great night, every child in our class kisses their parents !
